Train in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy
Evidence based • Active approach • Techniques to accelerate positive change
ISTDP
Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) is an accelerated form of dynamic psychotherapy. This active approach focuses on processing emotional blockages and changing maladaptive response patterns which are responsible for symptoms such as anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties.
As an emotion-focused, experiential therapy ISTDP aims to get to the root of patients’ difficulties in as short a time-frame as possible to enable them to overcome symptoms and reach their full potential.
ISTDP is practiced internationally and has an impressive evidence base. More than forty published research studies show this approach to be highly effective for a broad spectrum of patients, with benefits that continue and increase in long-term follow-up.
